Situated
on the coastline of the Kapiti Coast,
Raumati Beach is approximately 50 minutes
from Wellington International Airport. It
is only 35 minutes into Wellinton City
which was home to Peter Jackson's Lord of
the Rings and more recently King Kong.
Wellington is the capital
city of New Zealand with most government
agencies based close to the Houses of
Parliament. However the city is also
known as the cultural capital of New
Zealand with it's many theatres,
festivals and museums most notably Te
Papa (the Museum of New Zealand).
The friendly Raumati
kiwi beach community makes it an idyllic
spot to relax and unwind. There are many
attractions for the discerning visitor,
including the Lindale Tourist Complex and
Southward Car Museum. Paraparaumu airport
offers gliding and scenic flights over
Kapiti, while the nature reserve Kapiti
Island is easily accessed by chartered
ferry. Paraparaumu Golf Club offers
visitors worldclass golfing facilities.
There is an abundance of cafes and
restaurants within walking distance of
the beach house.
